Fillet Edges to Help Photorealism

In the process of experimenting with reflections I noticed that adding the smallest amount of rounding to a corner can help to achieve photorealism. In Cinema 4D, this is called a Fillet Edge.

In reality, how often are two edges that meet perfectly straight, in most cases there is some rounding at the edge.
